Tryptophan is used to make serotonin - the brain chemical that helps you feel calmer, less depressed. Magnesium helps get your body's electrical impulses in order.
It's not a cure, but it may help. Main thing is that he is willing. I hope you can encourage him to get off it before it destroys his life.

I was addicted to meth about a year ago and i'll be honest with you, I had to be locked at Laurel Ridge Rehabilitation Center, a psychiatric hospital for addicted teens.and its true..cold turkey is the only way to go and its hard and timely but it teaches a lesson in the long run.i hope ur bro gets better.Try giving him some Kava Kava tea and this may sound crazy but ask the doctor to give him non-narcotic sleeping pills so he can at least sleep off most of his addiction and he doesnt have to be thinking about meth.
Yes, there is an all natural alternative that addicts are finding great success with. It was only put on the market about 3 years ago but it is an adaptogen which will balance the auto-immune system and neutralize the acid in his system. Once his system becomes alkalide, he will have a much easier time dealing with the withdrawls. I have heard enough testimonials, that I would say it is his best chance.
