1. Breath out completely and hold it. count to three.
2. Breath in completely and hold it.
3. Now tighten your lips like your whistling and breath out forcefully through them.

i swallow a spoonful of sugar and watch tv, it really helps me. your method would never work for me because i'd be thinking about my hiccups.
everytime that i have hiccups i hold my breath until my next hiccup cums and if i get it again then i have to hold my breath again until i dont have it anymore. or i will drink water. I have never tried this. Interesting. I'll try this the next time I have the hiccups.

i've never tried it but it is worth a shot not tried those but try a very cold glass of water or a fright usually does the trick - or try dropping keys down your back

My best method has been to breath in deep, hold it in for a few moments, lie to one side and completely relax then sip water slowey while holding your breath after about 7-8 seconds slowly breath out. Fin!
This NEVER fails for me. If you are at home turn on the kitchen sink. Then cover both ears at once with your hands and drink directly from the faucet. It can be done with any drink, it's just sometimes hard to drink things with hands on both of your ears.
I know it sounds crazy but trust me it works.

When u drink water in a stretch u are actually not breathing in, this helpd increase the carbon dioxide. also u can go in a plce which has been closed, that there is less oxygen and stay there for some ten minutes. Also u can give someone an emotional shock to relieve him/her of hiccups but the person need not to know. only reveal it after the hiccup has gone .WHen someone is under stress the person breath less and carbondioxide start to accumulate inthe blood through shallow breathing and relieve the hiccups try a paper bag. and breath deeply in and out. it works every time for me.
