There are a couple of reasons why men generally have a greater sex drive than women generally. Women are biologically programmed to find one partner who can provide a home, protection, and father healthy children. Men are biologically programmed to spread their seed to as many healthy partners as possible who can raise the offspring to adulthood. This is not to say that we as thinking adults cannot rationally and emotionally overcome that programming, but it becomes easier and makes more sense for men to do this as they age and gain maturity and their brains can overwhelm their hormonal impulses.

Another factor is the western cultural obsession with women as sexual objects. We see it on television, billboards, in music, and newspapers and magazines. We are all surrounded by it, so men, especially young men, are inundated by the very thing they are obsessed with anyway. Perhaps this is because the entertainment and advertising industries are run by hormonal males. Just a thought.
