Question:
Answers:
Stevia is one of the most beneficial sweetener plants there is. I have never heard of any side effects besides it balancing blood sugar, being calorie free and tasting great. you can look up more about it at www.mynsp.com/kandismm
It is a wonderful plant I have used since my son was born, and he is the healthiest boy I know.
I buy a brand of stevia called SWEETLEAF and it doesn't say anything on the box about being harmful to children. As for other brands, I don't know. I buy SWEETLEAF because it tastes the best...been using it for years.
Stevia shouldn't be used for children under the age of 16. It does have a warning label on it and I would take it very seriously.
Stevia comes from a shrub grown in paraguary. It has been used in Japan since the 1970's. Only here, in the USA has the FDA put out warnings on Stevia.
Unlike aspartame, there are no reports of adverse effects from stevia’s use and scientific studies throughout the world prove out its safety. Stevia has never been shown to cause brain tumors, seizures, blindness, or any of the other 92 adverse reactions associated with aspartame. * Unlike aspartame, stevia reduces the craving for sweets, making it the ideal sweetener for a society desperate to lose weight.
The FDA granted Monsanto the go ahead on aspartame. Monsanto has donated funds to FDA officials.
Here's the lowdown on Stevia, which is far safer than aspartame most of america is now using:

I subscribe to Mike Adams The Health Ranger reports. He has done a lot to expose the practices of the FDA, who, unlike other government entities, is free to take money and line their pockets. This is reflected in products that are approved. It's scary.
Check out his reports on the FDA here:
