4 words: Castor Oil Shampoo Bar. I buy mine from www.dandesoap.com, this lady is an authority on cures for psoriasis and Eczema. I got rid of that mess from my scalp for good. I keep some around when my scalp starts getting dry, but I have none now and I had it all over my head. I was spending what you do a month and kept going to the doctor and nothing worked. I felt like the ugliest person, it would bleed and run down my forehead and neck. It would weep and itch to seven years. I was so miserable before I met this lady. It costs $4.10 per bar that's huge, about 5 to 6 oz. and she can mail it to you.
I hate it for you, but that soap bar cures it. She is a miracle worker on treating all Psoriasis and Eczema, skin allergies, you name it, she can has a cure for everything; I think. LOL Everytime I ask her about something, she has something for it. LOL
Do you spend much time in the sun? A little bit of time in the sun everyday always helped my psoriasis.
None of the medications I ever used did much for me except steroids that were actually prescribed for bronchitis. I haven't had an outbreak of psoriasis since taking two 10 day rounds of the steroids about 6 years ago.
You need to take fish oil. Emulsified cod liver oil might be the best. Twin Lab makes great tasting ones. Instead of costing $200 a month, the fish oil might cost you $20 a month (for two bottles.)
Psoriasis doesn't just affect the skin. Many people with it experience a similar problem with their digestion. In case you have some digestive discomfort as well, you might find that the fish oil helps with that some, too.
Good luck and be well.

my suggestion is finding an arbonne rep in your area. it is all natural stuff chemical free, animal free cheaper than 200 a mo but still costly. great products!! check it out for sure- if you can not find a rep let me know, i'll send you mine. the stuff can work miracles. i don't have psoriasis but my daughter had cradle cap FOR EVER!! i also tried everything until i used arbonne baby care- it cleared up in about 1 week with daily use and has never returned!! good luck!! even if you don't use this try to stick with something natural
Try switching to oranic shampoos and conditioners. Or maybe try soap-less shampoo. The problem with regular shampoos and the fancy creams and medications they give you is that the can make it worse. Get thee to an herbalist! There are awesome products and herbalist can make you using all natural products! Hey, if it works it'll save you $200 a month..
Topical creams don't work because they're directed at the symptom not the cause, you need more essential fatty acids and water in your diet. omega 3's (fish oil) and flax seed oils are a good choice. a good website is www.mynsp.com/kandismm
Hi Dawn! Well, usually psoriasis is caused by a lack of good quality oils in the diet, as well as a fairly high intake of refined sugar and flour products, like baked goods. If you remove these from the diet, include a high quality oil like toasted sesame oil, or extra virgin olive oil in small amounts, (no food from restaurants for about a week or so, then rarely - once a month), you should find your problem gone.
Meats and dairy can also contribute to psoriasis, so watch your intake of yogurt, milk, cheese and meats, especially beef and poultry. Fish is okay, but shouldn't be eaten more than twice a week. Your daily intake of food should include large amounts of leafy green vegetables. Best of luck, Dawn.
