Does 'Within' mean before or after?

Question:
If the medication says: " Do not consume dairy products, antacids etc within 2 hours or taking this medicine"?

Answers:
It means either...two hours before or after. Most antibiotics have that warning...something to do with the absorption of the drugs...antacids, etc. can make them much less effective.
before
It means for two before and two hours after you can't eat those things or the medication will not be abosorbed by the body
Before
It means that when you take the medication you wait for at least 2 hours before consuming the above.
