I wanna make a homemade laxitive?
Question:
Answers:
WHY do this? Buy EX-lax,its cheap.
Eat prunes or dried apricots with several glasses of water. Apricots especially.
Drink a cup of strong coffee (that has caffeine!) with milk. That should do it within about an hour. If it still doesn't work, drink a couple of glasses of orange juice or eat a whole grapefruit. All those things make you go!
Castor oil!!
Wheat Grass: Get some seeds or shoots and grow it yourself, I myself keep with something that comes in a capsule form, Prosit, it contains Aloe Ferox that is 22 times stronger than Aloe Vera. This keeps me clean inside.
I agree with the other folks. Castor oil is good, it tastes awful and it will coat your insides, making things slide out easily...however it may take several doses.
Coffee is also a good resource for making one go...but not if you are used to having it.
Fruit and bran are full of fiber and having regular doses of them will also make you regular.
The problem with all of these is that it may take several days and doses to get your result. My mom is a fiber junky...she starts everyday with bran cereal and throughout the day has several servings of fruit, dairy and veggies to help her situation.
Are you needing to go or just to soften your stool? I am a massage therapist and have learned that regular stomach massage is EXCELLENT for helping keep you regular and to get you to go.
do this every day, every time you eat: (From your perspective) start at the lower left area just above your hip bone and dig and scoop up with your fingers up to your ribs, over to the other side and back down to the right...following the natural line of the intestines and colon. Then, in the same direction do a general massage all along your tummy. If you feel a cramp, feel it hard or bubbles then spend a little extra time there. Don't be afraid to push hard.
Another word of advice, always eat a salad at the END of your meal...this extra bulk will help push along your meal, making it easier to get out.
You may also want to check out the natural section of your grocery store or a natural or health food store.they may have options of a natural laxative already made for you! and, it'll have a strong dose of what you need, in an easy to take pill or liquid.
GOOD LUCK!
Eat Activia Yogurt and take 1 tbsp of extra vigin olive oil before bedtime until you are regular...
One more vote for castor oil! If you do this monthly about 10 days before menstration it is also great for PMS. It takes a few hours to work it's way through you.
It is really gross to drink it, though. I take 3 tablespoons with lemon and warm water. I plug my nose from the point I take it until I've washed it down and chased it with some flavorful fruit juice.
If you need your stools softened on a regular basis, magnesium supplement (CALM or other powder dissolved in hot water) will help with that.
Use Epsom Salt.
- - - adults and children 12 years and older - - -
2-4 level teaspoons dissolved in a full glass (8oz) of water.
- - - children 6 to 12 - - -
1-2 level teaspoons dissolved in a full glass (8oz) of water.
Do not give to children under 6 years of age.
Oranges, mandarins, prunes and castor oil. Castor oil works the fastest.
If you want a fast acting laxative, then I vote for the epsom salts. Just make sure you are near a bathroom after you drink the stuff.
You shouldn't have to rely on a laxative. Once you do, you will eventually lose the ability to move your own bowels at all.
However, for occasional relief, a plant called Senna is gentle and effective. Consult a herbalist; this is not somethng you should try on your own!
