Do You Have a Cure for Depression?
Question:
Answers:
Calcium and magnesium will help you tremendously. You have vitamin deficiencies. You do not need to see a psychiatrist.
Taking a long walk is great too. You'll have more energy and you'll "clear your mind".
There is no real quick fix however changing your lifestyle a bit will help. I don't mean find new friends or get a goldfish, but figuring out what vitamin dificiencies you have.
You probably have a lot of toxins built up in your body. Cut out fast food, drink lots of spring water and tea, and that alone will make you feel better in no time.
I hope this helps as a start. Trust me on the calcium and magnesium though, you'll notice a big difference within a week if you combine it with walking at least 30 minutes a day.
my sons smiling face, seriously. if you can go and volunteer, and try not to thinkof yourself and your problems, that is the best thing, and its free!

This advice may be a bit old-fashioned, but it always works for me. Personally, a good long walk always does the trick. Get your mindset off of the depressing part of your life and find something positive to concentrate on. Uplifting music is always a spirit lifter as well. Go out there and get some fresh air. Meet someone. Get involved with the community. Life is too short to waste on being depressed. I can't blame you for having that feeling as it's unavoidable for all people, but you should never let it bog you down forever. Take a deep breath and slow down. :)
Only one thing works--a change in lifestyle.
I recommend this--get outside and exercise. I mean RUN! Just the release of endorphins from the exercise will make you feel a lot better.
Also, cutting out any bad lifestyle habits can help. For example, if you smoke, try to quit. If you eat too much, cut down. If you drink, quit. If you gamble, try to get help. These behaviors add to your depression.
Also, try to surround yourself with friends and family. Avoid being alone as much as possible. When there is nothing to do, call someone.
Finally, go see a psychologist, or join a support group where you can unload your problems and stress. You feel a lot better when you have someone to talk to?
Now, I tell you these things because I took Lexapro for four years. I never cured my depression, it just cloaked it. Only when I learned how to deal with depression and changed my lifestyle, did it finally go away.
Physical activity is what helped me,and laughter.Go to comedy central on tv,or go to a comedy club.Go where there is laughter.Sounds corny ,I know, but laughter releases seratonin in the system as well as endorphins, which gives a feeling of well being.Good Luck.
Energy is the answer... and I mean the vital energy the body needs to survive. When was the last time you saw an energetic depressed person??
Lack of vital energy in the body creates many different symptoms... depression, weak immune system, lethargy, and many other everyday symptoms we all throw drugs at.
Vital energy comes from a healthy diet... colorful fruits, especially blue berries, dark green leafy vegetables, rich protiens, whole grains nuts and seeds and good old water...
Caffiene and sugar plays a huge roll in depleting vital energy, and contrary to popular commercials, energy drinks do NOT give you energy... they give your body stress, huge doses at a time...
Once your body gets the nutrients it needs to rebuild healthy cells... and it rebuilds itself daily 300 - 500 billion cells a day...you will naturally get more vital energy.. when you have that you will feel like getting up and getting out and doing physical things that will help you combat depression.

They have these asian mood elevators sold in specialty stores which help a bit, also, try getting your chakra balenced.
I have found the best results with using a variety of natural supplements. I have been treated by a naturopathic physician. He has taken my personal medical history and he also tested my blood. He then provided me with a personal supplement regimen that is based on what is best for me. I am currently taking Lithium Orotate, Intracal, Oxy-Powder and Intramax. The lithium orotate has been used for depression for decades. The Intracal is a calcium orotate that delivers the calcium straight to the cells. I have also omitted caffeine from my diet. I have also been using a oxygen based colon cleansing. The product helps your body to rid itself of the compacted fecal matter. I also take an organic vitamin which helps your body to run itself properly.
WH, you've already gotten the best advice money can buy - and it was all free!
Your attitude is symptomatic: "I want a quick fix, not a lifestyle change." But depression has EVERYTHING to do with lifestyle.
- You are what you eat. Eliminate fast foods and artificial sweeteners. Eat whole, unprocessed foods.
- Drink lots of water. Every cell in your body depends on it.
- Most important, get out and get moving. We have become a sedentary society. Exercise is a HUGE mood elevator. You heard that from a LOT of people here. Believe it. Start with 30 minutes a day of brisk walking and build up to an hour. You will be amazed at the change in your attitude.
