Is it true that Iced Tea may cause Renal Calculi [Kidney Stones]?

Question:

There's a lot of debate of what foods and drinks are "bad" for you if you are susceptible to kidney stones. No one is entirely sure of anything.

The only thing most will agree on is that people who do not drink an adequate amount of water (not soda, juice, tea, coffee) are setting themselves up to get stones. I had them, but haven't had a recurrence since I started drinking a half gallon or more of plain water a day.
i have been drinking sweet tea all my life and have not got any problems with stones.
Don't believe the hype! Not true...
