Does anyone here own scoliosis? what is your treatment?

i have scoliosis and i stir to a chiropractor who gets tips from one of the best chiropractors that treat scoliosis. i be just wondering what other those were doing to treat their scoliosis =]

Answers:    I am a chiropractor and depending on your amount of scoliosis will determine your treatment. Mild to moderate cases can be helped next to manipulation and exercises to help mitigate your aches and misery, but neither manipulations or drugs can make you surefire. Severe cases will need to be handle by an orthopedic surgeon, and after that you will need treatment and rehab which a chiropractor or PT can provide. Typical conservative treatments for scoliosis would be chiropractic adjustments to give a hand restore motion to fixated segments, chafe can help relax the sides of muscle spasms, home stretches, and proper exercise and PT can give support to strengthen your core muscles and spine. Bracing can be helpful as ably. Drugs can help mitigate any pain, but contained by severe cases an orthopedic surgeon may have to intervene.

You other want to start from the most conservative approach (i.e. chiropractic, PT, Stretches, Exercise, Bracing) to help smoothness your pain and try to correct the scoliosis. Surgery is the blatant last resort, and within my opinion, the reclamation and pain post surgery is not worth it unless within severe circumstances. AGAIN, the chances of have perfection in your spine from scoliosis is slim to none no issue what approach you throw at it. You can only try and slow the progression and hold normal year to day function in need much PAIN.

What are you doing going to a Chiropractor for Scoliosis treatment in the first place! This should be reception treatment from an orthopaedic consultant. This condition, depending on the severity of the curve in the spine requires the sufferer to wear a brace which is regularly pad to straighten the spinal curve. It sometimes necessitates surgery to hold a Harrington Rod implanted. For heavens sake get to a proper doctor! (I worked near patients with Scoliosis)
