Has anyone experienced healing as a result of practicing Tai Chi?

Question:
Can you please share your experience. Please explain your illness and how your health improved. Did you talk to your doctor about practicing Tai Chi. Did you have traditional treatment and/or were you taking medication at the same time.

Answers:
I have a benign tumor that presses on the nerve of my left hip. It was so painful, I had difficulty walking or standing for more than 10 - 15 minutes. With daily practice of Tai Chi, the pain has been significantly reduced. I can walk 2 hours with no problems. The only medication I took was ibuprofen. I told my doctor about my improvement and he told me that another patient of his with back problems had taken Tai Chi. Similarly, her pain had been significantly reduced.
My father practiced Tai Chi daily for about 35 years. Prior to that, he studied judo for about three years.

Last month while recovering from back surgery from an auto accident, he was walking down the street of Assisi, Italy on a trip abroad.

He misstepped and fell forward. Instead of landing flat on his face or breaking his wrists in a fall, he did a double judo roll!!

Mind you he had broken small bones in his back 4 months earlier and had the breaks cemented together.

All he suffered was a scratch on his elbow. He said some younger people came up to see if he was all right. But then almost anyone is younger than my Dad, who will be 85 in November!

You go, Dad!
