I use therapeutic-grade essential oils for everything in my daily life, but for a medicine cabinet:

1. Melaleuca Alternifolia oil ~ (aka Tea Tree Oil) is a natural antiseptic, antibacterial, kills Staph Aureus, E. Coli, fungi, viruses, Candida Albicans (yeast), is soothing, very penetrating. The Austrailian's once called Melaleuca Alternifolia oil "the medicine kit in a bottle".

2. Lavender ~ to help stop itching and soothe skin. Will help with dry or chapped skin, is calming when used on linens, and when diffused will minimize seasonal reactions to pollen and dust mites.

3. Peppermint ~ Helps to support normal beathing during allergy and cold season, may aid in digestion when used in tea (be sure to use ONLY ingestible-grade essential oils),
Applied topically, peppermint oil can help relieve physical
discomfort and leave a soothing, cooling sensation.

I use several blends of other essential oils, such as citronella, rosemary, lemon, clove and cinnamon all with various properties that enhance one another.

I'd be happy to share with you what can be done with therapeutic-grade essential oils as an alternative to over the counter "medicines".

Nature provides us with cures that have side-benefits rather than side-effects.

I began drinking MonaVie about 4 months ago and giving it to my asthmatic son. The benefits we've realized are amazing. My back pain and other arthritic pain is nearly gone, my energy has skyrocketed,my seasonal allergy symptoms are vastly improved and I rarely suffer those hypoglycemic episodes. My son's asthma is much better controlled, he no longer gets the severe headaches, lethargic days or frequent viral infections. As a result of feeling better, his overall behavior has improved, he stopped missing so many days of school, and his grades improved. If I could keep only one supplement for life, this would undoubtedly be the one.
Ginger root is good for stomach aches.
