Damaged marijuana?

Question:
my friend has some but unfortunately it was washed with his pants by mistake. It's all black and dried up now. He says it looks kind of funky, like dead leaves. He wants to smoke it but afraid cause it looks roughed up. My question is, if he smokes it can he still get high regardless of the look. It was once grade A material. I told him to smoke it, doubt there's more side-effects because it's been in the laundry. Anyone know from experience? Can he still get high off of it? Thanks.

Answers:
Definately smokeable. It happened to me once and it still got me high although it did taste a little different. As long as u do it in moderation, and dont get into other drugs, marijuana is a natural wonder drug. So just ignore that societal robot who called u a moran, he is a clueless puppet.
Get off the CRAP, moron!
Only if the pot was washed in a vegetable based detergent would I smoke it. The chemical based ones are toxic in some cases.
of course not. The pollen on the leaves and buds has been eliminated. Unfortunately, thats the stuff that works. Too bad, next time he should be more careful.
THC is water soluble, ya know ;)
Yea it will still work, just not as well... don't u love how all these non-smoking idiots have all the answers to something they have no experience with?
thc is only "slightly" water soluble. you WILL still feel it if you smoke it. the idiot that said you wont get high is a moron. obviously not a pot smoker.
that doesn't sound too good, your friend just needs to buy better pot!!
THC is soluble in oil or alcohol, not water. There is even something called a "water cure" which removes clorophyl and results in dark, small, potent nugs. Not exactly the same as washing it, but, yeah, it should still work.
