"Eucalyptus Oil is used as a stimulant and antiseptic gargle. Locally applied, it impairs sensibility. It increases cardiac action. "
(meaning that it can give someone a heart attack especially if their heart is already under strain or stress)
If someone is on medication for high blood pressure, eucalyptus oil is likely to futher reduce it and it may interact with the medication that the person is on or stimulate the heart muscle to beat faster and raise pressure on the heart. Much better to be safe than sorry...
why would they?
I know that "Silky Scents" has essential oils & organic essential oils, and they have a free recipe section. i'm not sure, but if you click on the eucalyptus button on the essential oil menu, it may tell you why in their descriptions.
You'll probably be able to find all the information there. Plus they have the pictures of each plant. You can google their name to find them online.
It is because Eucalyptus essential oil would cause your high blood pressure to rise even more, and that is not good. And if you have low blood pressure you shouldn't use Lavendar.
