Glucosamine and Omega 3?

Question:
Is it safe to take these? Somebody mentioned at my work that they don't work together and that glucosamine only works with chondroitin? They are just some i picked up from morrisons. Are they ok, or should i change them?

Answers:
Glucosamine helps to repair cartilage and Omega-3 oil helps to reduce inflammation. They can be taken together. Fish oil is a better anti-inflammatory than flax oil due to the DHA and EPA content.

Glucosamine can work by itself but it does work better with chondroitin. The chondroitin helps to restore the synovial fluid that helps to cushion the joints.

Please be aware that the joints have very little circulation, so it can take one to three months to see good results.

Good luck and be well.

I can't see why they wouldn't work together, but you could always take them an hour apart to be sure the oils don't cause less absorption of the glucosamine... do take care if you have blood sugar issues, though, with glucosamine the blood sugar can go up with some sensitive folks.
