I had a cyst on my upper eyelid for 1 yr, I had it surgically removed it was quick and healed up within a week, very much worth it...
your opthamologist will inject it with a steroid and it will be gone within 3 weeks!
Have you had it seen to by a dr? If not definately get it checked to make sure it actually is a cyst and not a form of skin cancer etc.
My father had the same thing. He was advised to only use mild soap around his eyes (apparently the cyst is a blocked sub-cutaneous gland) and use warm compress. He did that for about a month with no result so had it removed. He said it was a little uncomfortable but the best option by far. It's up to you and your doc, if you're OK with it there and its not worth coming off your meds for the surgery then i think it'll be fine - unless it gets bigger and obstructs your vision!
My mother went through the same thing. She was petrified to see an optomologist, but finally did after some encouragement. He simply lanced it, drained it and it about 2 minutes it was gone-she said it didn't really hurt. Sometimes they aren't so easily removed because they're not filled with fluid. But I would see a doctor anyway, apparently it's pretty common and who knows it could be rather simple to get rid of.

Yeah I went to the doc for one of those and he said...you do realize this isn't a cyst. It's just a pimple on your eyelid.I said...no, I didn't know that. The longer it's there...the liquid can turn in to a hard little ball.
He said...in the future...put a warm wet washcloth on it...for a little while and lance it yourself with a sterile needle. If it doesn't work...keep doing the washcloth..it will soften it. AND it will save you from spending $$ to have a doc do this.
I haven't ever been back to the doc for this...do it myself...ironically noticed one on my eyelid this morning...that I will be taking care of myself.
