My dog has fleas and I researched home remedies and this was a solution. There was another ... washing my dog with dish detergent ... but I think I would rather try the tablets. It seems it will dry out his skin.

You can try adding Apple Cider Vinegar in his food. You can get the tablets from pets.com or any online pet store. I also give me dog fish / codliver oil.

I buy them at Walmart but I just use them to make the coat shiny it really did not help w/ fleas.

Any healthfood store, GNC or Co-op should have these. You'll more than likely be able to find these at a pet food supply store as well. Give your dog garlic in addition, and if you have a fabric collar on him/her, buy some pennyroyal and citronella essential oils and apply liberally all over its collar.

To tell you the truth, invasions of fleas can be so bad, and brewer's yeast and garlic don't always work, that you might just want to go to Advantage. I have a cat that WILL NOT keep his flea collar on, and at the point where I started finding fleas in my house, the naturopathic remedies went out the window and the Advantage/Advantix came in. I will NOT have fleas in my beds and carpets. Flea bites hurt like hell and fleas carry disease. Vacuum really well w/ a HEPA filter vac, too, and steam clean the carpet if you have to.
