Can I still take a multivitamin supplement if it starts showing black speckles (I assume due to oxidation)?

Question:
It hasn't reached the expiry date yet but I opened it a few times but didn't take any pills for a few months. I think the fact it has been exposed to oxygen has caused it to deteriorate somewhat. I assume it's safe to take it but wonder which of the components has started disintegrating (vitamin C?) and whether the potency has been reduced so much that it's not worth taking it anymore.

I'd appreciate a somewhat scientific answer or something with a useful link.

its because they have absorbed moister..if they have changed in appearence dont take them..i took B that changed color and i had this intense itching under my skin..in my private and bottom..it was 2 am and i rang a doctor ..i was going insane with this..like ants biting me...throw them out
Hi Mover. Black speckles are not normal and clearly indicate a problem with the pills. Do Not Take Them.

Best wishes.
