Do Medicated Douches really cure Yeast infections?
Question:
Answers:
nope, the liquid from the douche isn't in the vagina long enough to have any real impact on the yeast buds growing in the tissues. It takes a cream or insert that stays in the vagina to kill the yeast overgrowth.
No actually they can cause yeast infections by changing the natural flora of the vagina.
No, where'd you hear that?? In fact, too much douching can actually CAUSE some types of infection (not a yeast infection i dont think though) b/c they actually take out good bacteria and growth s that help protect you. That is why I do not douche!
Anyhow, a regular 3 or 7 day O.T.C (over the counter) treatment like monistat will work fine. I don't trust the 1 day treatments. Good Luck.
Women are not suppose to douche. The vagina has a natural (safe) bacteria, that becomes unbalanced when feminine products are used which cause infections. So douching may cause yeast infections for some females.
Douches do not help, but I will suggest that you eat yogurt. It supplies the body with natural good bacteria that will destroy bad bacteria. You need to eat it a few times a day. Make sure it has alot of acidophiles in it. You can also buy acidofilus pills .

No, I would do an over the counter and take a bunch of acidophilus. If you acidophilus as a regular supplement, you can avoid getting yeast infections altogether. It also helps a lot on the onset of an infection.
NO take diflucan that works.
