Eczema resulting from Peanut butter?

Question:
I used to dip in to peanut butter once a week through my life. But recently I heard that peanuts can cause allergies. I never had allergy symptoms when i ate peanut butter. For the past few weeks I have been dipping in to peanut butter every day. Can this be a result of my extreme eczema breakout on my hands?

Answers:
If you don't have a peanut allergy by now you aren't going to. A rash on the hands is not a sign of allergy either. Peanut allergies usually involve respiratory distress anyway. Something to keep in mind in regard to any serious allergic reaction...if you are allergic you will have a reaction withing 20 to 30 minutes, not hours or days down the road.
It could be. Eczema can become inflammed when you are eating thing you are allergic to.
Just because you've never had peanut allergies doesn't mean you can't still get them. Allergies can form at any time. So that eczema that your getting on your hands might actually be a rash from an allergic reaction. Maybe you should go see a doctor. ASAP!
I'm not sure, my son had eczema and I got him to take fish oil capsules. It calmed it down ALOT.
The term eczema is used to describe all kinds of red, blistering, oozing, scaly, brownish, thickened, and itching skin conditions.

The common allergenic foods : Eggs, milk, dairy products, chocolate, peanut, soy, potatoes, and the glutens found in wheat, oats, rye, and barley.
To be sure you should go for a food screening
