Hot flushes?

Question:
Can anyone help????

Answers:
Menopausal hot flashes -- flushing, sweating, etc. -- are caused by the cessation of the body's production of estrogen. There are pharmaceutical and alternative therapies for the symptoms, or you can gut it out. Soy products, black cohosh, avoiding alcoholic beverages...all these things can help some people.

Other things that cause hot flashes at other ages: if you're taking fertility drugs, the sudden increase in the hormone levels in your body can cause you to flash. Pregnancy: again, changing hormone levels and the adjustment your body makes to the fetus can cause you to have hot flashes.
If it's menopausal hot flashes then Evening Primrose Oil is helpful in balancing the hormones. Wearing natural fibres and comfortable clothing is also helpful.

If the hot flashes are from something not related to the natural cycles then I would recommend seeing a doctor.
I feel for you. I have been getting hot flushes since i had my hysterectomy at the age of 23. I am using Premarin and it helps me. There are lots of other options [ supposedly healthy options] that you can buy over the counter. I am happy to take Premarin though, prefer it to feeling hot and sweaty, lightheaded and bad-tempered. By the way i have only recently found out what Premarin stands for Pregnant Mare Urine aarrgghhhh but it helps:)))))) Talk to your Dr and they will help you with a choice ok, i wish you well.:)))))
keep away from men lol.. sorry hun couldnt resist, go to the health shop they do some good remedies for this ,, xx
Your question is a bit too broad. Have you seen a doctor, a nutritionist, a homeopath or any other medical professional who's qualified to evaluate your symptoms?

Flushes can be caused by lots of things: hormones (of lack of them), allergic reactions, certain supplements. It's my opinion that you should take steps to diagnose the problem before taking any treatment advice from this or any other forum.
Drink a pint of soya milk a day and have a healthy diet and lifestyle. Exercise and lots or water - boring I know but it does help.
Can I assume you are peri-menopausal?

If so HRT is still probably the most effective option. The pendulum has swung far too far away from its use. It is still a viable option with acceptable risk profile, provided the smallest possible dose is used for the shortest period that is appropriate.
black cohosh helps reduce hot flushes, there are also a combination of soy flavoid, black cohosh, and everning prim oil you can find
