Use a hot match....drop it on the "butt" of the tick. After you get the tick out take it to county health department so they can check it for diseases. I think its too late to take it out yourself. Go to the doctor!
Try using a needle to pick it out enough to pull the base with the tweezers. If you cannot do this, boil a coke bottle (plastic) remove it from the water and stick it over the bump. It should pull the head right out of your skin bc of the suction from the heat. It may be easier trying to get someone else to do it for you.
If the tick is still there, then you take a pair of very sharp nosed tweezers and first off sanitize them.
The you take the tweezers and firmly grab grab the tick as close tot he skin as you can. Ticks have very very small heads that break off easily. So the closer to the skin the better.
Once you are sure you have a good grip, gently and steadily pull on the tweezers. Do not wiggle the tweezers or pull at a angle. Pull straight out firmly. But be sure you have a good grip. It will take about 30 seconds to break the suction hold.
Once its out disinfect and watch the area for infection.
If you dont get it all out head to the doctor as you are at high risk from lime disease.
what is your dad thinking! go to the doctor! what kind of tick is it! they might ease out if you drown it in oil (olive or vegatable). At the risk of sounding like Marge Simpson GO TO THE HOSPITAL OR THE DOCTOR you might get blood poisoning! stop wasting time on the computer!
I usually pluck them out early.
For perfect safety, follow the tweezer precautions that the answerer a few answers above me above gave you (That is the best technique)
However, if the bump means that the little dude has burrowed inside your skin, then you need to see a doctor, because oil and smoke and even heat won't bother it much anymore, and it's unlikely that it'll poke its head out again.
