Answers:
Epsom Salt increases amount of water in the intestine, thereby promoting bowel movement.
Epsom Salt is a saline laxative used for the relief of occasional constipation. This product generally produces bowel movement in 1/2 to 6 hours.
Health Usage -
For compresses: Use 2 cups of Epsom Salt per gallon of water for sore muscles, bug bites and splinter removal.
For soaking: Add two cups of Epsom Salt to warm water in a standard-sized bathtub. Double the Epsom Salt for an oversized garden tub. Popular for easing muscle pain and fading bruises. Bathe three times weekly, soaking for at least 12 minutes.
Foot bath: Add a cup of Epsom Salt to a tub of warm water as a popular balm for aching feet.
Laxative: Consult the package directions for instructions.
Buy a bag or box of the salts...the directions are clear on the back. You will be mixing it with water to drink. If you wish, use less than recommended til you see how you react. Laxatives should not produce diarrhea but rather a healthy movement. Drink LOTS of water daily and avoid this problem again.
A more palatable choice is castor oil - 1/4 tsp is all you need. It's a weird consistancy but you can follow it with a water chaser!
1 tablespoon to 8 ounces of warm water. Yes it works, it may cause cramping, be near a restroom when it begins work.
1st dose 3 tsp or 1 tblsp 8 ounces of warm water.
wait 2 hours
2nd dose same as the first.
Extremely effective as a laxitive. It tastes like death!! so drink it fast!!
What your friend told you is quite possibly true. I have done this doseage several times durring a liver flush. Epsom salt also dialates the bile ducts in the liver.
