Answers:
Though mushrooms are not plants, In the plant kingdom it is very common that a non-poisonous specie camouflages itself as a poisonous one for protection from plant eating animals. This means that there are non-poisonous mushrooms which looks very similar to the poisonous ones, and only the experts can tell the difference.
Though you can find books with pictures that attempt to teach you the difference - it is difficult and risky to learn to identify mushrooms from books.
If you want to eat them anyway, at least cook them before. High temperature can destroy most (but not all) poisons.
the best way of knowing is by feeding them to your dog and if he drops dead, dont' eat them.
IF you eat them an die, they are probably poisonous.

.
Unless you really know your mushrooms, leave them alone. Sometimes even one bite can make you sick or even kill you. Talk to someone who is a pro at identifying them and learn which is which, but for your own safety, don't take any chances. There are some that look quite similar. While one might be safe, another might not be, so you really need to be careful.
