Calpol contains paracetamol, which is basically a pain-killer and reduces fever. Antibiotics are drugs which are aimed at destroying bacteria, usually by breaking down their cell walls. The 2 do not interfere with each other, so as long as both are taken as prescribed there won't be a problem.
yes ok to give calpol or nurofen provided no reason why child cant take it . follow dosage on bottle according to age.
Mixing calpol with antibiotics will effect the right side of the childs brain and will cause learning difficultys (a form of dyslexia)
Not only is it safe, your GP should have advised you it is desirable. ( By the way just out of interest 50-85% of antibiotics prescibed are thought to be unneccessary.)
yes its safe make sure you get the correct calpol for your childs age as u get different strengths and follow the dosage
Yes - if your child has an infection will likely have a temperature and the calpol will reduce this and the antibiotics will clear the infection. Make sure you complete the course of antibiotics.
