Tylenol pm?
Question:
can i buy it at my local cvs?
do i need a perscription?
will it help me sleep better for the school year?
what are side effects?
Answers:
Tylenol PM is not inherently dangerous but the acetaminophen is dangerous to your liver when overdone. The "benadryl: is the sleep agent in the drug that makes you drowsy. The hospitals use this drug for the elderly folks having trouble sleeping because of the gentleness of the drug. No hangovers.
As to the parents, let them know you're having trouble sleeping and if they don't believe you... wake them up before you get to sleep.
PLEASE dont take ANYTHING w/ out your parents knowledge and tylenol pm is something that should only b used as needed- not as a daily regimine to help u sleep better.
May i suggest telling ur parents that u r having sleeping problems and perhaps a doctor visit could clear up some things
Depends, $4-6
Yes
no
It has 25mg of benadryl so yes that is the sleep aid in the medication
Its not meant to be taken for sh!ts and giggles. Taking it simply to sleep is not recommended. Extensive use of Tylenol can cause liver damage.
Tylenol PM is not expensive and you can get it over the counter, but it should not be taken without your parents or your doctor knowing. It's a pain reliever - something to take when you're too achey to get a restful sleep.
Why take Tylenol when there are herbal supplements that work just as well if not better? They have little or no long term side effects like chemical sleep agents do. Tylenol is a good pain reliever fever reducer but is hard on your liver and kidneys..
If you are interested in your health using herbs is much better for you ...You can find herbal combinations to enhance relaxation and kava kava and Valerian root promote sleep a long with melatonin.Once you establish a good sleep cycle then you can use the products only when needed instead of becoming dependent on a drug! I hope you find this helpful..
Good Luck!
Instead of pills, consider journal writing, venting on paper. My guess is you have some anxiety going on that keeping you up at night. Also consider taking Calicum in the late afternoon or early evening.
