Castor oil..how much to take?

Question:
I want to start taking small amounts of castor oil for general health benefits (not constipation). What amount should i take and how many times a day ? Can it be added to foods?

Answers:
Taken internally, Castor Oil is used as a treatment for intestinal inflammation and worms.

Typical Dosage -
For acute constipation or worms, the dose is at least 10 grams (2 teaspoonfuls). Follow the manufacturer's directions whenever available.
Chill castor oil in the fridge and mix with cold orange juice before ingesting to make it more palatable.

Overdosage - An overdose will irritate the stomach, leading to queasiness, vomiting, cramps, and severe diarrhea. If you suspect an overdose, seek medical attention immediately.

Avoid If...
Don't take Castor Oil if you have nausea, vomiting, an intestinal blockage, appendicitis, severe inflammatory intestinal disease, or any abdominal pain of unknown origin. Not recommended for pregnant and nursing women and children under 12.
Yes, you can cook with castor oil... What exactly do you think it's going to do for you? It is not that great unless you are constipated or trying to encourage labor. Take a multivitamin. Why castor oil? I'm confused.

If you wanted to take it every dayand not get diarrhea, the ammount you would take would beso small that there would be no point. If you are trying to get regular, you are better off with fiber (like, eat an apple) and drink more water..

Castor oil every day? That's insane!
