Home remedy for boils?

Question:

Answers:
Warm/hot compresses should do it!

Good luck!
Use something that draws the poison out. For example, cut an onion in half and heat it up. Make sure it's not too hot so don't burn yourself.
If you can find a salve with sulfur in it, that would help.
chewing tobacco juice and a hot compress followed by surgery.
This worked for us. My husband had a hideous boil in the middle of his back. He couldn't reach it or see it unless he stood backward from the main mirror in the bathroom with a hand mirror facing it.
The idea is to 'draw' the 'poison' up into a head (looks like the nastiest biggest pimple you ever saw).

It may take anywhere from 24 hours to 3 days to draw it up to that point.
Start out each time you know that person has several hours to 'kill' before doing this.

*Bowl of hot (not scalding) water with alot of salt in it. Take a clean piece of gauze or washcloth and swish it in the salty water, about 10 seconds should do it. With the cloth saturated with salty water, add a little more salt to the cloth where it will be incontact with the boil.
Hold the poultice or salty cloth on the effected area til the cloth begins to cool. Dip it back in the water and do again until cloth begins to cool.
A patch bandaide (if the location permits) would be ideal afterward with a little triple antibiotic salve or ointment or if you insist on making your own medicinal salves, Yellow Dock will work just as well, even though its an antibacterial.
Each day perform this, checking the size and status of the boil.
When boil comes to full head, if you can't get to a Dr., make sure you use a STERILE knife to lance it, the big whitish head, no deeper (make sure you have a medium size absorbent hand towel or paper towels to block the puss from hitting you square in the face).

After boil is lanced, find the outter thickness (hard area) at the circumference of the effected area. Make sure to have
another fresh towel because you are going to have to put alot of pressure to push this stuff out of the hole you have just made. There is going to be at first (first 2-4 days) really thick yellow puss sometimes mixed with blood, sometimes it may have a gut wrenching odor. Its ok. The whole idea behind this procedure is to get rid of this stuff.
After cleanup, put a dose of the antibiotic salve/ointment on the boil proper and cover with a large patch bandaide.
Each day perform this procedure, you will notice the bandaide size is getting smaller, till the effected area is no bigger then a pimple and is emitting white puss and little plazma.
Give it 2 days without touching it. Do it one last time (whole procedure) til you can't get anymore puss, all you get is fresh red blood. Clean it up, put the last ointment on it, regular size bandaide should do...the person is good to go.

Its not so draining to them, but can gross whoever is performing the procedure.
