Cocaine and amphetamines are depressants?

Question:
is that true?

Answers:
No. They are stimulants, indefinitely.
No, they are stimulants.
It depends on who's taking them. If hyperactive people are taking them they can act as a depresant. They used to give Rittilin to hyperactive people to calm them down, in the 70's. My ex boyfriends brother had to take it. I'm not sure about now though.
they are a stimulant but for people with adhd, like myself, amphetamines (such as adderall) is prescribed and actually calm us down and allow us to be able to concetrate.
Yes they are stimulants, but when the effects where off then they are defiantly depressants
Cocaine can work both ways - people with for example AD(H)D (and related) will get more relaxed and will be more able to concentrate and do strucutured thinking/handling more easily.

(I myself have ADD and i experimented with cocaine - wich indeed made me much more relaxing, able to focus on things, and bring order into chaos in my head - wich is the exact opposite when a non-AD(H)D (or related) user would have)

Parts of the cocaine has the same reaction in the brains as the prescribed mediactions.

Also 63% of the people who are (willingly) doing rehab from cocaine/amphetamines, have some form of AD(H)D.

So, for these people you can say (as they do themselves) that cocaine or amphetamines are depressants, since they 'calm down'.

For most people they are acttally definitly stimulants.
(wich makes the cocaine/amphetamine much more dangerous, for that matter)
no
