Does anyone know the theory (and how proven it is) behind the book "Eat Right 4 Your Type"?

Question:
I was perusing through a bookstore the other day and came across a book called "Eat Right 4 Your Type". I was only able to briefly flip through it, but the gist seems to be that there is a particular diet & exercise regimen specific to each blood type. In addition to my first question, I would also like to know if anyone has tried following this diet. (I would especially like to hear from anyone who has tried this who is blood type O+.)

Answers:
Don't fall for it. Three (3) of my friends tried following the book, two were O+ and one's A+. It wasn't something they could do forever and so, sure, they lost a little weight but once they quit following the diet it all came right back.

I do not hold this work in very high esteem. I'm B+, and the diet recommends lots of dairy and red meat for me. I'm lactose intolerant/highly allergic to cows milk and milk products, and can barely digest beef. As I'm a Taurus, it's sorta like cannibalism for me anyway. It makes my asthma and allergies go haywire, and my skin break out all over the place, as well as completely making my period go haywire. When I eat macrobiotically or vegetarian, or even just really cleanly w/ fish and poultry, I feel much, much better. Highly estrogenic foods like meat, eggs, and dairy are deadly for me!

Eat Right For Your Type does NOT work for me at all, and I found it to be total crap!!!
