EXPIRED MEDS? Ketoprofen?

Question:
I have an old prescription of Ketoprofen 75mg (about a yr or so old ) . Just wondering if these anti-inflam pills would still work and save me a trip to the Dr.

Answers:
Expired medications just lose their potency/strength, you can try taking the anti-inflammatory pills, but I doubt they will be very effective.
no throw them out
If they are just a year old, they probably have not lost much of their potency. It won't hurt you to try them, for sure.
If stored in the original container, ketoprofen is shelf stable for at least 5 years. Degradation is very slow and yields no toxic degradation products, so it should realistically be good for another few years.
