Would acupuncture help swollen ankles?
Question:
Answers:
Absolutely. I actually have a friend who performs acupuncture, and he tells me that this is one of the most frustrating things that people come to him with. Swollen ankles are most likely due to edema (exess water). Any medication that a western doctor could give you would affect your entire body and the ankles would most likely linger, but acupuncture can target your ankles. I have seen it work. Good luck.
If putting spikes into your heels helps, then yes! else, bathe them in Epsom Salts, gentle manipulation. try Scholl footwear.
Sounds like water retention due to pointing the toes too vigourously in certain activities.
You have swelling in your ankles, what caused them? Are they painful? Edema or swelling is due to a lot of reasons. Mainly due to internal injury or a fracture. You need a diuretic to flush out the edema. I can understand why you need to go to the loo often. Diuretics make you pee often. But treating edema can be difficult.
You can take Apis M 30C pills. Take 4 pills 4 times daily till the swelling reduces. Then stop altogether.
Apis M is an homeopathic medicine for swellings and insect bites and stings. It drastically reduces the swellings almost instantly.
But first you need to tell me what caused the swelling.
Sleep with your feet elevated, it will reduce the swelling.
Acupuncture is used to reduce pain so I am not too sure if it reduces the swelling.
Yes. Massage will also help.
I would not bother with acupuncture. Take COD LIVER OIL to reduce the swelling. 2 capsules before bed will bring down the swelling. Keep your feet elevated as much as you can. Put them up on a chair in work if you can. You don't need prescriptions, this will work for you.
I think it would. It claims to clear the meridians so that there are no blockages to the flow of fluid around the body.
Acupuncture can have no possible effect. Diuretics should NOT be used for postural ankle swelling, only for swelling secondary to CCF ( congestive cardiac failure ), which I assume you are not suffering from, it is bad practise. The correct management is to ensure that you are close to ideal weight and then use elevation and compression only.
