I am 27 and worried because I have strange phobias and am obsessed with washing my hands and have to line up things a certain way.I also worry someone is out to get me and opening the locks in my house.I am anti-social as well...
Answers:
Go to a psychiatrist or psychologist. You already have some serious disorders, such as OCD. The sooner you get help the better the prognoses. Get help but try not to worry too much as that will cause you to have symptoms just because you're worrying about it so much.
go to mercola.com & put in schizophrenia in the search. see what articles he has & info on the disease & how/what diet & exercise can help prevent it.
when i looked ... it talked about vitamin D deficiencies ... so take vitamin D & be out in the sun more, which is a good source, but make sure you have sun screen on.
don't drink milk.

I dont believe there is any way to prevent a mental illness like schitzophrenia. You just have to watch for the signs and seek help if you need it. It sound like you may have OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). It would probably be in your best interest to see a Psychiatrist.
Go ahead and start seeing a psychiatrist, even if you aren't exhibiting strong symptoms. They can't prevent you from developing it, but it can be caught early on and treatment from the start can help prevent you from hurting yourself or others. They can help you prepare for the possibility of developing it, and can tell if you're getting worse early on.
You need to keep your phobias in check i know I started to develop strange OCD like behaviors and I just told myself what I was doing didn't make sense so I stopped and it worked. I also have a mental health history and have been borderline schizophrenia at times. Developing a healthy relationship with God will prevent the illness, although it is believed to be cause by a brain disorder, schizophrenia comes from the Greek language and literally mean "sickness of the soul". Again keep your behaviors in check and don't be afraid at all to seek medical help or counseling if you feel you can't cope. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Not long ago I read somewhere that people with a lifetime history of major depressive disorder are more at risk for Alzheimer's disease. The link referred to in the "source" box below supports that thesis, but it does not reflect another, seemingly equally important, aspect of the article I saw, which emphasized that the higher risk was associated not merely with a history of major depressive disorder but with a history of UNMEDICATED major depressive disorder. And so, once again, if you dig deep enough in a pile of horsepucky you may find a pony at the bottom.
In other words, to mix my metaphors, it's possible that the cloud of unmedicated depression increasing the risk of Alzheimer's may have a silver lining if any depression that may be present is in fact medicated and not left untreated.
You may want to talk with your doctor about this theory to see if schizophrenia or any other of the disorders mentioned in your question may also be a precursor of Alzheimer's and, if so, whether medications prescribed for those other disorders may also have a side effect of delaying or preventing the onset of Alzheimer's.
You should go to a therapist now and see if you can get help now before it controls you.You need to be in control of it.
You so sound like someone I know, anyways!
There is 3 ways I know of since my brother and mother are somewhat the same...
1 - Medical Chemical Balancing you can ask me about that later I don't agree with alot of things they do here but thats fine
2 - Spiritual guidance - which means first removing all those phobias and fears and paranoias and finding the root cause to all this (thats my favorite and I participate actively on a daily basis in alot of this kind of method if asked of course or provoked.. like I said you really remind me of someone I could never get through to.. but I am sure there is more than 1 of her...although I found myself totally misunderstanding her, I realized it was nothing to do with anyone as she kept complaining about.. it was all her! heheh
3 - Surrounding yourself with greatness and positivity, going the full way, with the fen swey and all that weird stuff.. just to get all the positive energy in and the bad energy out.. you are what you eat can I ask do you work long hrs and eat at fast food alot cause that crap will definatly kick wack imbalance.
Well maybe there is more but that is all I ever seen there is alot of organic and natural herbal things also to keep you calm but you have to find yourself first in this world of a soup... Once thats done and you accept yourself for who you are then you can move on to the better things.
God willing.. hey you just waiting for to get here is that why this is open for so long... heheh just kidding ANNA! OMG!
Diet plays a huge role in this issue. If you get really serious about what enters your mouth, you can regenerate every weaker cell in your body with high vibrational super healthy cells. Your DNA can be rebuilt with high frequency energy foods as well. Hydration is a key factor too.
Read the rawguru link: Question #2: Have you ever had any kind of symptoms of mental illness, and, if so, what did a raw food diet with supplements get rid of, and are all mental illnesses curable with a raw foods diet/
supplements??
The second link is to highly regenerative living herbal food supplements. I can assist you further with that...
there really is no such thing as schizophrenia! that word is just a label for certain people that vary from what is expected by others such as community or even sometimes the medical community! The idea of schizophrenphrenia is alot of hooey as far as I'm concerned! However some demons can send thoughts and images into ones mind and make you think it's your own thoughts, images. That is what so called schizophrenia really is!
