Is there a natural way to gently peel the skin of the face? (alternative to laser skin-peel)?
Question:
Answers:
Papaya and pineapple are two of the most popular fruits used in natural peels since they are both a rich source of AHAs. Both fruits contain a protein-dissolving enzyme that sloughs off dead cells and stimulates collagen production. In papaya, this enzyme is papain, and in pineapple, it is bromelain. Sometimes, other sources of AHAs are used alone or in conjunction with papaya and pineapple, including lemon, grape-fruit, and grapes.
How to make a natural skin peel -
1.Gently heat together one packet unflavored gelatin, the juice of one lemon and one orange.
2.Heat until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
Let cool until almost set.
3.Whisk in one egg yolk.
Apply a thin layer to the face and neck areas.
Leave on for 20 to 25 minutes, or until dry.
Rinse off completely with warm water.
Pat dry gently with a soft towelling cloth.
Peels are the most effective when gently applied to clean, warm, moist skin.
The gelatin has a softening effect on the skin. As it dries, it will help firm and tone the skin, while the lemon and orange juice will exfoliate, stimulate and diminish hyperpigmentation. The egg yolk moisturizes and hydrates the skin.
You can use papaya; it has natural enzymes that will create a gentle natural peel.
Cut an orange in half and rub it over your face gently. This will not peel off your skin..thank goodness.. but it will scrub off the dead, pale, pasty & ashy looking tired skin and make you look younger and more refreshed. Just be sure to rinse with cool..not hot or too cold..water. Works like a charm!! ;)
Mild versions are available everywhere they just take a little longer to show result BUT your face will feel amazing after the first one.
You can use the sylicate acid cleanser pads you buy at the drugstore (marketed under a variety of names) . It is nothing more than asprin. Nightly use, followed 30 min later with a moisturizer will speed turnover of new cells.
wash with baking soda
