Do you need a perscription for a morning pill? What is the clinical name??
Question:
Answers:
It's called plan B and no prescription necessary if you older than 17 with an I.D.It usually runs in the area of about $44.99 or so.You have to go to your pharmacy to get it.
No. Go to your local health clinic or pharmacy.
While some independent pharmacies are not stocking Plan B because of moral objections or perceived lack of demand, the pill is widely available. Major pharmacy chains such as CVS Corp., Rite-Aid Corp. and Walgreen Co. not only offer the pill throughout their networks, but also pledge to ensure that customers can buy Plan B onsite even if a given employee declines to provide service for reasons of conscience. The pill costs $25 to $45 now

It doesn't require a prescription and the pharmacy will know what it's called if you say "morning after pill". PLEASE call the pharmacy before you go to make sure they will give it to you. Some pharmacists are refusing and you do not need the embarassment if they refuse to give it to you.
Go to Planned Parenthood - ask for the morning after pill (they will know what you mean). It needs to be taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex - the earlier you take it, the more effective it will be. Planned Parenthood offers a pack of 2 pills, one you take immediately, the other 12 hours later. Take these pills with a full meal - they tend to upset your stomach. They are underr $30 - in some cases free (college students often have this as an option).
It depends on the state. Some states require the purchaser to be 18 and have ID. Anyone under 18 would require a prescription for it. It is called Plan-B. Check with your local pharmacy about the law. I am a pharmacist.
