Go into a good vitamin/health store. They have some homeopathic tablets for sinus problems that work SO well and are all natural. They just dissolve under your tongue.
Sinusitis or accessory sinus suppuration is bacterial inflammation of the nasal and contiguous sinuses following acute rhinitis and contiguous sinuses following acute infection especially streptococci. Sometimes the infection from the second bicuspid and first two molar teeth whose roots are near to the antral floor. Sinusitis is an important etiological factor in the causation of many diseases of the lower respiratory tract.

Inflammation of the paranasal sinuses often follows the common cold, influenza, and other general infections. Germs that would normally be eliminated from the body may sometimes find their way into these little sinuses or chambers on each side of the nasal passages. Trouble may be due to inadequate drainage resulting from a deviated septum, or perhaps to the presence of polyps. Any chronic infection within the nose may lead to sinuses.

HOME REMEDIES FOR SINUS INFECTION

* Inhale steam 2-4 times per day by leaning over a bowl of boiling hot water or using a steam vaporizer with a towel over the head and bowl to prevent the escape of the steam. Do not add any mentholated balms to it.
* Get plenty of rest. Do not lie down it will make your sinuses feel more stopped-up, so try lying on the side that lets you breathe the best.
* Sleeping with your head elevated will encourage drainage during the night.
* Eliminate sugar from your diet.
* The juice of garlic has on the entire system as it helps dissolve an accumulation of mucus in the sinus cavities, bronchial tubes and the lungs.
* Prepare a mixture by adding one eyedropper of 3% hydrogen peroxide, one pinch salt, one pinch baking soda, and purified water. Shake well. Put a little in each nostril and keep in there awhile, making faces to move it around, move head, etc. to move it around.
* Always avoid dairy products when you have any sinus congestion of any kind.
* Prepare a mixture of these herbs, fennel seeds, flaxseeds and fenugreek seeds. Allow it to steep for a few minutes, stir and drink copious amounts.
* Put a little salt in the palm of your hand, mix with warm water, plug one nostril and sniff the water & salt solution up. Repeat for the other nostril.
* Gargle with salt water and flush your nose/sinuses out with salt water.
* Chop up two or three cloves of garlic. Put in small cup and cover with about 40 drops of water, let it stand (10-15) min's so the water can absorb the oils from the garlic. Put 20 drops in each nostril.
* Take large doses of vitamin C to cure sinusitis.
* Make a solution by adding colloidal silver, diluted tea tree and eucalyptus oil and apply to sinus area.
* Avoid taking too much fruit juice. Avoid completely milk and dairy products.
* Applying a hot or a cold compress over the inflamed area would also provide relief.
* A decoction of mustard seed powder and water, instilled in the nostrils gives relief.
* Drinking a lot of water and other fluids would also help.
* Keeping a towel, hat or warm scarf over forehead, cheeks as you sleep can really help.
* Using a humidifier in the room where you sleep is an excellent way to prevent and treat a sinus infection.
* Persons suffering from sinusitis should avoid swimming in swimming pools treated with chlorine, since it irritates the lining of the nose and sinuses.

Remember one thing, mentholated balms usually aggravate the sinuses by blocking the nostrils. Avoid them as much as possible.
eucalyptus leafs work
Get some Canada balsam from a pharmacy. Put a few drops into a bowl full of very hot water, cover your head with a towel and breathe the fumes. Use an old bowl as the balsam will stain it badly.
this will open up your breathing, get a jar of real horseradish, open the lid and inhale a good sniff, i promise it will be effective
A friend of mine had sinus infections so bad he had surgery to scrape them out (faint... ha ha) Anyway he started using this teapot looking thing called a netty pot. I'm not sure of the spelling. Anyway, no more sinus infections, in fact, no more allergies. Go figure.
Go to a health store & ask for a Neti Pot. I saw it on Oprah when Dr. Oz was on. Everyone says that once they use this, they never have a another sinus problem. Have them show you how to use it.it might look weird but, it is a cheap way to get rid of a nagging problem. You might also try cutting back on dairy products too. I was told that allergies to dairy can cause some sinus problems. Dairy also increases your mucous production. Good luck!

OK if you really want the FACTS ..go get Mullen leaf ..make a tea..allergies and sinus problem will be gone. Also if its allergies take bee pollen from a LOCAL bee farm..start out with a pinch for 2 weeks build up to a teaspoon and then you have the antibodies from all the local flora that are cloggin you up
There was a thing on Oprah, but I think the basic remedy was to sniff or squirt as much warm, water up into your nose as possible (having a little salt in it may be good too). My Mom does it in the shower (sniffs water up her nose) and swears by it. Sorry, haven't tried it myself - sounds uncomfortable.
Unfortunately many people confuse sinus problems with nasal problems.. they are not synonymous. Should you be more specific with your particular problem, perhaps you would receive a much more appropriate answer. For nasal problems, there are very good answers presented in some of the answers showing. For sinus problem, a more defined diagnosis with presenting symptoms, would be a bit more readily responded to.
I do this when my sinuses are really clogged up and I can't think of anything else to do. It sounds gross and it tickles a little, but it works.
Okay, first you get some Tea Tree Oil. Next put a few drops into about 1/2 tsp. of water. Then all you have to do is lay down and tilt your head back and, with an eyedropper, drop about two(or however many it takes) drops down each nostril. Keep your head tilted and let it run into your sinuses, it will clear them out and should keep them cleared out for about a day or two.
Hope this helps.
Yes Vicks Sinex
I have had sinus problems for time to time myself. I have found that the herb stinging nettle is very helpful. However, if you suffer from sinus problems on a regular basis. Then, you might to consider doing a full body detox. As a consistent sinus problems, can be a indication that you need to do a liver cleanse. The first step to full body detox is doing a intestinal cleansing and the product that I use is called Oxy-Powder. There are a number of products on the market, you should try to find a product that you are comfortable taking. If you have more questions about full body cleansing , you can visit www.ghchealth.com
