Wanna get healthy, just quit smoking!?

Question:
I quit smoking, and I wanna rebuild some of the damage that I've done to my body any ways I can start making myself healthy? like foods, herbs etc? I was a smoker for a year.Sadly I smoked 2 packs a week.

Answers:
You will be fine if you only smoked one year. Your lungs will clear up on their own. Eat healthy lots of fruits & veggies, low fat proteins, whole grains.
your body pretty much creates new organs for itself in a sense its like skin...so your body will do it on its own but the best philosophy i found is " if it doesnt come from the ground dont eat it..." like chips, sodas and stuff.
congrats! well just eat healthy food drink 8 or more 8ounces of water exercise and dont smoke again
yeah eat healthy and maybe you should ask a doctor if there is anything you can do to clear the smog from your lungs.
okay, 1 year of 2 packs a week is peanuts. you're fine. alot of people smoke 2 packs a DAY
i'm not a doctor but i would say that doing cardio exercise would be very good for you. you can rebuild your cardiovascular health that way and also doing cardio exercise helps move lymph fluid through your system
