Is taking muscle relaxants and drinking alcohol at the same time safe?

Question:
wondering for a friend

Answers:
No, not safe, it can kill you.
No, it isn't.
Definitely not. Please take care of your friend.
absolutely not. You could die or not know what you are doing and not remember what you did. Been there done that!
Very unsafe. The pharmacy will put warning labels on the muscle relaxants to not drink alcohol and take medication. Do a little internet research of the medication, and the interactions with other medications and alcohol will be noted.

Read some information about Karen Ann Quinlan, who laid in a vegetative state for 10 years because of doing this. She was only 21 years old.

well, you have a muscle relaxant and are taking alcohol which is also a depressant/relaxant.and your major organ, the heart is a muscle...hmmm I'm gonna go with a resounding "NO" here.
oh.yea but make sure you drink alot of alcohol with alot of muscle relaxers
It's very hard on your liver.. Your liver acts as your bodies filtration system.. it can't cope with drugs and alcohol at the same time very well though. Tell your friend to love his liver.
Think about the internal muscles that heart, lungs etc. Drinking alcohl and taking muscle relaxants can put your friend into a coma or worse. Most major concern is he can stop breathing, also the heart relaxes so much that is cannot properly pump blood to the organs
come on guys!! of course its not safe, thats pretty obvious but let me give you some other perspective than just say no!! alcohol produces acid in the stomach which can help deteriorate your stomach as well as damage the liver, with the addition of pills you double the effects on both of those organs.. so it can be very damaging and let me tell if you do and wake up the next day doesnt mean it was ok. the human body can survive some awful things but with that said it doesn't mean you will ever be the same and fully recover.. this is just a disclaimer.. just keep it in mind if you choose to do it.
I don't think so
Absolutely not. Both depress your breathing and blood pressure. Putting the two together multiplies the effects and this is the general cause of death when the two are mixed.
Definitely a big NO NO! Alcohol doesn't mix with any drugs otc or rx. Please tell your friend not to do this!
