i have been prescribed .5mg klonopin for over a year now and it is simply not workin and when i run out i get violent, what medication should i ask my doctor for that will still help me with nerves and anxiety

Your dose is very low. It may just be that your body has become tolerant to this dose, so more should help if it worked before.Doses range from .5 to 2mgs. so there is alot of room to slide for you.
